Hello to our SIP family! We hope you all enjoyed the long weekend with your families. AND we also hope you have all survived back to school and are getting used to the new school year.

Speaking of, we had a lot of you guys ask how we do some of our model's hair for our photo shoots, so we thought it would be a fun blog post to show you a couple of examples that are simple, quick and stay put for your kiddos before school because I am not a hairdresser, and I'm certainly NOT a morning person so waking up and feeling like doing something extravagant on my child's hair sounds like my nightmare.

Kid's Half Up, Half Down Messy Top Knot Style

This first style that we like to do on our models that a lot of you asked about is our half up, half down messy top knot. We sometimes do a little french braid in front if we're feeling crazy or we just do the bun. Either way is simple and super cute. We did a quick video tutorial for you.

Piggy Buns

This next one is a fave as well! You will probably notice that Tennley almost always has her hair in these messy piggy buns for our shoots. Our owner, Quynn, especially loves her hair like this when she models so I thought I'd share this cute picture so you can see it up close. In this picture I actually had her hair in those little braids with her hair down for school, then I just left them in and did the buns for the photo shoot. I am in love with the look and will do this every time I do these buns now because it's so dang cute! And nothing completes a perfect hair-do like our adorable accessories! I know some of you don't know how to french braid, but have no fear! Because both of these hair-do's can easily be done with just a standard braid or no braid at all! Yay!
