In honor of the summer Olympics season it’s time to start planning the next backyard olympic games for the whole family! How did the Olympics start?
The Olympics started over 2700 years ago in Ancient Greece and were held as a sacred truce for people from all over the neighboring lands to compete in various sporting events. Professional athletes gather from all over the world to compete in the games, and the modern Olympics are an event of true global unity.
What sports are in the 2021 Olympics?
A wide variety of sports will be held at the 2021 Summer Olympics in Japan, including some new ones! Team events such as football, baseball, basketball, softball, sailing, surfing, and cycling will be held outside of Tokyo.
